You won’t believe us,

but Kayla and David met at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market in San Francisco. David, a chef of 17 years, had just returned to SF to open a new restaurant, while Kayla lived out her passions for food justice at a non-profit job in sustainable agriculture.

Hearing about the crippling effects of food waste firsthand from farmer friends, Kayla and David felt impassioned to help mend these broken links in our food system. Today, Ugly Pickle Co. is their vision for a viable future of food, a radical paradigm for our new era of sustainable consumption.
